We have 60+ people coming on Sunday afternoon for our annual Christmas open house. I’m planning on making “help yourself” Banh Mi in a crockpot, spanikopita, red velvet whoopie pies, homemade Bounty bars, ginger cookies, After Eight mint cookies and much, much more.
I have so much prep to do, and it’s all going to have to get done on Saturday, with three kids underfoot.
I’ve proposed a movie marathon day, but because I feel somewhat guilty about using the television as a babysitter, I’m breaking up our funny family favourites on Netflix with crafts based on their movie choices.
Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2? We’ll make these awesome minion masks.
Mr. Popper’s Penguins will be the inspiration behind these paper penguins.
My youngest is learning about patterns in kindergarten, so we’ll make Cat in the Hat patterned hats after the film.
Colouring sheets for Kung Fu Panda 2 should keep them quiet for a bit.
Since I’m part of the Netflix #StreamTeam, technically the kids are “helping mommy work” when they’re watching Netflix, right? Right?
