In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell argues that to become an expert at something, you need to commit 10,000 hours to mastery of the craft. Some people have taken issue with the idea that anyone can become a master at something with just enough practice, and I agree.
You probably won’t become the best in the world at your chosen endeavor. But you can become great. You can become fantastic. You can become incredible with this level of practice.
If you want to learn how to dance, you can.
If you want to go from awkward girl to confident hula hoop dancer, you can.
If you’re an overweight and disabled veteran with zero physical ability, you can learn advanced yoga.
What are you putting your hours into?
